First of all, we do offer our sincere apologies for not getting our beloved newsletter to you the first of August, especially after a combined June/July issue… you have all heard the expression ‘If it was not one thing, then it was another’ and so it has been for the last month. We have had missed deadlines coming and going, along with unexpected illnesses – who anticipates those!!! – And then there were those on vacation. So all we can say is we are so, so sorry. But here we are with so many goodies in a PACKED combined August and September issue. It will take a very LARGE cup of coffee or tea (or whatever your beverage choice for your time of day!) to read through, but I am certain you will enjoy!!!
With temperatures in the south, as well as through muchof the country, well into the 90’s, who wants to think about cute fall back-to-school clothing, when shorts andT’s would be much more comfortable. But we all knowthat in a few short weeks Labor Day will be here and the fall leaves and pumpkins will be not far behind. Yesterday, at my local grocer, I did see the first of the jack-o-lanterns…..OH MY GOODNESS!!!
Jim and I took a trip to Alaska in July and it was great. They had cooler than normal temperatures and lots of rain, but it did not dampen the exquisite scenery. Bears, Moose and a huge covey of American Bald Eagles were just to name a few of the fauna we saw and experienced. Unfortunately, there were not many – dare I say ANY –Heirloom Sewing shops, for that matter – I did not see asingle fabric store….
